Before you book
- Cars in this class: Peugeot Expert Traveller. You book the class, not a named car. You will get one of these models or another car of the same size, never a smaller one, and you are told which car it is when you collect.
- Licence held 2 years or more, minimum age 21. Drivers under 25 pay a young-driver fee, shown in your total.
- The hold needs a credit card in the main driver's name. Debit, prepaid and virtual cards are not accepted for it.
- Fuel is like for like. The level is recorded with you at pickup and the car comes back at the same level.
- Add your flight number at checkout so delays are tracked and your car is held.
- Pick-up and drop-off are both in Luqa. One-way returns are not available.
The minibus in Malta
Nine seats including the driver, and a boot that stays usable behind the last row: about 1,300 litres, rated for five bags. It takes a group of eight or nine and their luggage from the airport in one vehicle.
It is van-sized. Main roads and the airport run are easy; in the old village cores, use car parks rather than a sat-nav shortcut through narrow streets.
Can I drive the minibus on a normal car licence?
Yes. A standard category B licence covers vehicles with up to nine seats including the driver. The same rules as every class apply: minimum age 21 and a licence held for 2 years.
Is the minibus available as an automatic?
No, every minibus in the fleet is a manual. If your driver needs an automatic, the 7-seater class has them.
Does the minibus fit on the Gozo ferry?
