About Nova Drive Malta

Who we are

Nova Drive Malta is the trading name of NovaDrive Service Centre Ltd (company registration C 116377, VAT number MT32937930), based in Marsa. We are an intermediary booking platform for self-drive car hire in Malta and Gozo, and cars booked here are collected in Luqa, where you are met in person rather than sent to a distant depot.

Behind the platform is a small, Malta-based team, and we like it that way. It means the person you deal with knows the islands, the roads and the cars on offer, and can give you a straight answer. Every car on offer is kept serviced and well looked after. Our booking team works from Malta, so you always know who to contact about your booking.

How we work

The way we price is the part visitors tell us they value most. Our rates are all-in: VAT and the airport fee are already inside the daily rate, so the price you see at checkout is what you pay. The only extra is the optional delivery or collection service, which depends on the location and is agreed in advance, never as a surprise at the desk.

• Pay online when you book, in full by card. Bookings are non-refundable once paid.
• A refundable deposit is held on a card at pickup and released on return; the amount is shown before you book.
• Insurance is included, with Collision Damage Waiver (CDW, with an excess) and third-party liability on every rental. Optional Zero Risk Protection removes the excess entirely if you would rather travel with nothing at risk.
• Drivers from age 21 with a full licence held at least 2 years; a young-driver surcharge applies under 25, shown before you book.
